Tasty, Conservative Link Soup du jour

I’m borrowing (okay, stealing) a riff from the incomparable Dennis Miller and starting my own “Soup of the Day”.  There are so many wicked good ingredients to add to today’s “Conservative Link Soup”.

Let’s start out with a nice base from Robin of Berkeley called “Commencement Address Hell“.

Michelle Obama recently gave a speech to graduates at George Washington University. The underlying message? Do as I say, not as I do.

Also: Life sucks, and then you die. There’s war and famine and an overcooked planet. Become global citizens and fix the mess! Clean the feet of lepers in Calcutta, eradicate malaria in the Sudan, and live like a monk with no personal needs.

Next, we’ll add a bit of cream to the stock, as a thickener, with the Patriot Post’s daily “Digest”:

“We have new ideas about how to spend government money wisely.” So said Vice President Joe “BFD” Biden this week while discussing the $787 billion “stimulus” passed by Congress last year. He continued, “I’m very proud to say that there’s been virtually no — knock on wood — virtually no fraud associated with the $787 billion program overall.” Unless you consider that most of the money spent so far has gone to Democrat constituents, that is.

Then, we’ll toss in a bit of feminist loonery seasoning for a bit of zing with “Beware the Husband Hunter

Proof can be gleaned from Michelle McGee’s infamous quote in Steppin’ Out magazine: “I think men are made to spread their seed. Women need to accept that. If you’re going to be married to somebody, you need to know that men are not meant to be with one woman. I think you can totally love your spouse and still sleep with other women. That urge will always be there, if you’re a man. I believe you can love your wife 100 percent and still stray.”

Finally, we’ll cool the broth with “5 Common Words and Their Chilling Meanings” (I have no idea if this is a conservative blog or not…but if it isn’t, it oughta be).
