South Carolina Republicans have lost their minds and are losing their souls

Newt Gingrich winning South Carolina is a sad commentary on South Carolinian “conservatism”. I sincerely hope it’s only a one-state aberration, non-representative of the American conservative voters. But…

They were given three candidates (I’m not counting the Republi-tarian here). Two of those candidates have clean records when it comes to basic ethics and morality (don’t steal–and no, venture capitalism is NOT stealing–don’t commit adultery). One of them did not.

So, to avoid the horrors of voting for a candidate whose religion had a brief practice of Biblically-based plural marriage 117 years ago, and inexplicably rejecting the one remaining candidate who really is the ideal evangelical/protestant Christian by just about every measure, the record now irrevocably shows that South Carolina EVANGELICAL Republicans chose the adulterous, ethics-violating candidate as “their guy”.

From now on, I don’t want to hear one word from evangelicals about erstwhile Mormon polygamy being a reason Mitt Romney can’t ever win a national election. Not one blasted word.

What a sad waste of political capital in a moment where Republicans, who’ve been struggling to get back to their core purposes (protecting freedom and family), could have instead been seen as standing steadfast in the traditional values that have proven to make good men and women greater.

There isn’t much else to say about that because it stands on its own. But by way of further illustration, Salon.com very “coincidentally” published an article entitled “Our successful open marriage” as if fertilizing the field (with the usual moral relativism B.S.) for sowing the seeds of “moral compromise”. The end result will be that we’ll get a candidate who is no more ethically above the fray than was Clinton (and who was especially hypocritical during the Lewinsky affair) Pelosi and Reid. We’ll get a candidate who cheats on his multiple wives and lusts in his heart for many women in an open marriage arrangement while running against a candidate who (that we know of) has never cheated on his one-and-only wife (the only thing I admire about Obama).  Even though Obama is obviously not squeaky clean in his own ethics, all we’ll have to show is a candidate who personifies the greedy, unethical stereotype the left lives to paint for us every waking minute of every day. “Better the devil you know” and “I take heart that someone older and fatter than me can still have an affair” will become the watchwords of the 2012 election among swing voters and hardcore conservatives, splitting the vote.

Congratulations, South Carolina Republicans. You just made it that much more likely that Obama will be the front-runner, with his terrifically dismal record on just about every measure of American prosperity. You gave us a leading party candidate who, when held up to the scrutiny and mudslinging of the dominant left-wing mouthpiece media, will all but ensure an Obama victory.

I hope you’re happy with yourselves.

Police still “stumped” by obvious Government Goon hit job on John P. Wheeler

Who is even mildly surprised that police still don’t have a clue as to who killed John P. Wheeler? They should either look harder and gear up to play in the big leagues of government-ordered assassination, or go home. Anyone persisting in the delusion that this was a random act of crime should disabuse themselves of the notion entirely.

Regardless of motive, opportunity, and method, the main thing every citizen should take from this, as well as anyone who works at the level of government in which Wheeler was involved, is to keep your head on a swivel.

But don’t think hiding your identity or working and speaking out in the shadows is going to be to your advantage. No. make yourself as public and, therefore, untouchable as possible. Make any sudden disappearance on your part an opportunity to erect an unmistakable signpost that your vanishing wasn’t coincidental, self-inflicted, or caused by a random act of violence. Set a deadman’s trigger that irrevocably and undeniably signals your government’s nefarious deeds to the world.

Prayers for Wheeler’s family as they wait for the cowards, who murdered one of our military’s own in cold blood, to confess their dirty deeds.

Whose Land? God’s Land!

But, said he, notwithstanding our afflictions, we have obtained a land of promise, a land which is choice above all other lands; a land which the Lord God hath covenanted with me should be a land for the inheritance of my seed. Yea, the Lord hath covenanted this land unto me, and to my children forever, and also all those who should be led out of other countries by the hand of the Lord.

These words come from the Book of Mormon, 2 Nephi, chapter 1, verse 5 by way of Lehi, an Israeli merchant of the tribe of Joseph. He had been called as a prophet of God around 600 B.C., about the same time as Jeremiah of the Old Testament. When his own preaching led to mobs of angry protesters to want to kill him, Lehi was told in a vision to flee Jerusalem with his family, leaving behind his fortune and inheritance.

The land of promise mentioned is the Americas (North, Central, and South) where he spoke these words, and his son Nephi wrote them. What follows is a continuation of this sermon as he speaks to his family, particularly directing his comments to his two rebellious eldest sons, Laman and Lemuel.

Wherefore, I, Lehi, prophesy according to the workings of the Spirit which is in me, that there shall none come into this land save they shall be brought by the hand of the Lord.

Wherefore, this land is consecrated unto him whom he shall bring. And if it so be that they shall serve him according to the commandments which he hath given, it shall be a land of liberty unto them; wherefore, they shall never be brought down into captivity; if so, it shall be because of iniquity; for if iniquity shall abound cursed shall be the land for their sakes, but unto the righteous it shall be blessed forever.

And behold, it is wisdom that this land should be kept as yet from the knowledge of other nations; for behold, many nations would overrun the land, that there would be no place for an inheritance.

Wherefore, I, Lehi, have obtained a promise, that inasmuch as those whom the Lord God shall bring out of the land of Jerusalem shall keep his commandments, they shall prosper upon the face of this land; and they shall be kept from all other nations, that they may possess this land unto themselves. And if it so be that they shall keep his commandments they shall be blessed upon the face of this land, and there shall be none to molest them, nor to take away the land of their inheritance; and they shall dwell safely forever.

But behold, when the time cometh that they shall dwindle in unbelief, after they have received so great blessings from the hand of the Lord—having a knowledge of the creation of the earth, and all men, knowing the great and marvelous works of the Lord from the creation of the world; having power given them to do all things by faith; having all the commandments from the beginning, and having been brought by his infinite goodness into this precious land of promise—behold, I say, if the day shall come that they will reject the Holy One of Israel, the true Messiah, their Redeemer and their God, behold, the judgments of him that is just shall rest upon them.

Yea, he will bring other nations unto them, and he will give unto them power, and he will take away from them the lands of their possessions, and he will cause them to be scattered and smitten.

Yea, as one generation passeth to another there shall be bloodsheds, and great visitations among them; wherefore, my sons, I would that ye would remember; yea, I would that ye would hearken unto my words.

O that ye would awake; awake from a deep sleep, yea, even from the sleep of hell, and shake off the awful chains by which ye are bound, which are the chains which bind the children of men, that they are carried away captive down to the eternal gulf of misery and woe.

Whether you believe Lehi was a prophet or was just a made-up character in a 500+ page book written straight through by a young man with a 5th grade education in 1829, doesn’t that sound prophetic to you? Especially from our 21st century, end-times, 20/20 hindsight perspective?

My heart hath been weighed down with sorrow from time to time, for I have feared, lest for the hardness of your hearts the Lord your God should come out in the fulness of his wrath upon you, that ye be cut off and destroyed forever;

Or, that a cursing should come upon you for the space of many generations; and ye are visited by sword, and by famine, and are hated, and are led according to the will and captivity of the devil.

O my sons, that these things might not come upon you, but that ye might be a choice and a favored people of the Lord. But behold, his will be done; for his ways are righteousness forever.

And he hath said that: Inasmuch as ye shall keep my commandments ye shall prosper in the land; but inasmuch as ye will not keep my commandments ye shall be cut off from my presence.

And now that my soul might have joy in you, and that my heart might leave this world with gladness because of you, that I might not be brought down with grief and sorrow to the grave, arise from the dust, my sons, and be men, and be determined in one mind and in one heart, united in all things, that ye may not come down into captivity;

Awake, my sons; put on the armor of righteousness. Shake off the chains with which ye are bound, and come forth out of obscurity, and arise from the dust.

It is time to re-unite our nation under a banner of personal righteous living. More than any collective “salvation” such as fixing “climate change”, or adopting international so-called standards of behavior, personal righteousness and a desire to please God before man is the only action that will pull us away from the brink of destruction in this promised land called The United States of America.

Why not rig our drones to explode?

Iran is definitely working on electronic warfare techniques. EMP attacks are certainly on their list of things to experiment with and possibly deploy against the U.S.

Also, why don’t we have a self-destruct sequence that kicks in whenever our drones land? Even if the GPS data is faulty, a failsafe might be a timer rigged to wait for an encrypted broadcast that it is indeed unique to friendly forces. If it doesn’t hear that, it just explodes.

Is that really so hard? Maybe it is. What do you think?

Beautiful child commits suicide due to bullying at public school

For a couple of years now, I couldn’t say adequately in words how aggravated I was to hear people ask me if my kids are being “socialized” now that they’re home schooled.

First of all, it’s a “none of your [expletive] business” kind of question.

Kids had bullied Ashlynn for years, calling her a “slut,” “fat,” and “ugly,” so that day’s incident seemed relatively minor to Stacy: The girls had poked fun at Ashlynn’s initials, “A.C.,” saying it sounded like “air conditioner.”

Three different teachers at the school had told Ashlynn to “stop tattling” after she reached out for help, the girl told her mother. It was the Thursday before Veterans Day, and Stacy told Ashlynn she should go straight to the principal the following Monday if the bullying continued.

“But she didn’t want to wait until Monday,” Stacy told The Daily.

Ashlynn’s older sister found her hanging by her neck from a scarf in a bedroom closet on Friday night. She was pronounced dead before 9 p.m. at a local hospital, another inconceivably young victim of elementary school bullying.

This is precisely why one of my kids is home schooled, and partially why the others followed. We were fortunate enough to have caught it early and nipped it in the bud. Other kids aren’t so fortunate.

Why? People I talk to about home school, and who insist on public school as the “best” option for every child, offer all kinds of excuses as to why they “can’t” or “couldn’t” or “won’t” remove their kids from public education. The excuses range from their almost cult-like dedication to their perception of the quality of the public school system vs. home schooling, to having both parents work to being a single parent and not being able to teach them at home.

Aren’t I downright mean for suggesting that dual income earners and single moms and dads figure out something–anything–else other than send their kids to a public school?

I don’t see it as being mean. I see it as being loyal to one’s children first and foremost, even in the face of reducing or eliminating one’s income to keep a child alive.

My heart really goes out to Mrs. Conner. I can’t imagine what she’s going through right now, so I hesitate to ask any question of where her mind and heart are now. I don’t claim to know either way, so I’m merely projecting my own feelings here. I just have to ask, because it’s important to be clear as to what is really going on in public schools. Let us see this tragedy in its true perspective.

How much would Stacy Conner sacrifice to have her daughter back?

How much is she regretting right now trying, as most of us do out of habit, by the way, to live by that old trope “better get used to it” (we call that one BGUTI for short at my house when the subject of injustice in public school comes up). I challenge anyone to attempt to tell any abuse victim “better get used to it”. Doesn’t work so well, right? Then why do we say that to our kids!? NOBODY should have to “get used” to abuse.

How much is she wondering if she had gone to the school officials earlier and confronted them, like a growling momma bear, whether things might have turned out differently?

But most of all, how much would she give up to have her daughter back?

I’d bet she’d give up everything to have her back. E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G.

I don’t believe in the Rapture, per se, but I do believe in the signs of Christ’s Second Coming and that He will come again…if only to rescue those who want to be rescued from complete and total annihilation at our own hands because of our own stupidity.

Better yet, forget novels. It’s ripped straight from the prophetic headlines of the Book of Revelation.

After reading and reviewing the book Aftershock: Protect Yourself and Profit in the Next Global Financial Meltdown and then Shadow Government: How the Secret Global Elite Is Using Surveillance Against You, which also describes a concerted effort to merge all banks into one, I have a hard time believing that what I’m reading daily in the news is just part of an imagined conspiracy theory.

The very real possibility of there being a single world bank in the near future should ring every alarm bell in every human being’s mind. The puppetmasters are now acting in the open. They have leveraged the principle of the Overton Window to break down our barriers and defenses against authoritarianism and have reduced our individual and sovereign governments to ashes by their Machiavellian machinations.

Now they stand at the precipice of that New World Order we were conditioned to think was the invention of the mad Jim Birchers and their ilk. I, too, used to think they were nuts until I actually started paying attention to the news of the world, current events, politicians, and the like. I’m not exactly a card-carrying Jim Bircher, but I do think they have a point and that the preponderance of evidence in this debate is definitely in their favor!

It’s very clear to me now that we, as individuals, can no longer count on our present government to stave off foreign and elitist influence into our daily lives. We are forcibly becoming part of a new scheme to centralize the world’s wealth into the hands of a secret and untouchable few. Their new world diktats will control the details of every aspect of our lives. Their systems of control will spy on our every transaction and our every movement through the world economy they are setting up.

It’s still the same old game of three-card Monte. It’s just that it’s moving to the global playing field. Anyone who thinks that this is Occupy Wall Street’s, or anyone’s, great moment to equalize wealth distribution is about to learn a very painful and troublesome lesson. The Builders are about to erect a new tower to Heaven, with us as their slaves to help them build their monolith. They seek to dethrone God and become gods among men.

They will fail. They have forgotten their history as we also have forgotten ours.

#OccupyWallStreet Loons Shut Down “Transparent” Document

UPDATE: As I was recently taken to task by a respected friend and OWS supporter over this post, I will admit that my dig below was below the belt and not helpful towards establishing a more United States of America. Apparently, Van Jones, former Green Czar and agitator for change, agrees. It is uncharacteristic of the Tea Party to be mean or unkind.

“If we can just be as warm and sharing and kind as the Tea Party, which one might suspect is a relatively low bar, we might be able to do something for our country,” Jones said Monday.

Can I get that on a t-shirt and a bumper sticker?

Further, he seems to have criticized the OWS movement:

“We went from hopey to mopey and forgot to build a movement in the middle,” Jones said.

He credited the Tea Party with building a “network” that operates without any individual leader. ”There is no Tea Party. You can’t land at the airport here in D.C., and get in the cab and say ‘take me to Tea Party headquarters’,” he said.

Jones described the movement as an “upgrade” over what progressives had done.

“They use their charismatic leaders to build something bigger than any leader,” he said. “They talk rugged individualism, but they act collectively.”

By contrast, he said, “we talk collectively … but we have enacted the most individualistic strategy in the republic.”

Comedy gold like this doesn’t come along very often, so I am compelled to distribute it far and wide. The Occupy Wall Street nutters are pulling out all the stops. They are unmasking themselves for the naked Communists they are, taking off the gloves, pulling no punches, [insert your own idiom here]…

This time, they mean it. They’re going to have their collective cake and eat it, too. And there will always be more cake…coming from…somewhere…we think…

Behold, transparent Communism at work with this Google Doc (note the text in bold red at the top presently in conflict with Rule #4) that the Occupiers set forth as their founding document…a replacement for our Constitution, as it were. Thomas Jefferson had nothing on these geniuses.

Some examples of Things We Know Can’t Possibly Fail:

Have anti-discrimination laws (already in place). Get media to scrutinize companies that discriminate (many large firms actually tout their diversity and GLBT acceptance). Simplicity.  This, of course, implies that the government would be in charge of all media, which should help with distributing such propaganda.

Disallow names on job applications ( http://www.workers.org/2005/us/racist-hiring-0630/ ).

Socialize undergraduate level college.  Make failing impossible to assure that everyone has the same chance in the work place post-college.

Teach character building classes from grade one, measure success based on drive/cooperation/interactions with others, not only final outcome.  Impose universal morality for parents who do not participate in raising their children. Remove children from households with parents who refuse to educate them properly. Provide for re-education of parents in how to properly raise their children for the happiness of the Party.

Impose import taxes and tariffs to reflect the externalized costs of cheap foreign labor. Smoot-Hawley then, Smoot-Hawley now, Smoot-Hawley forever.

Increase taxes on corporations that outsource American jobs.

“Public good” shall be defined by the current administration.

and on and on.

I admit, there are actually some things in this document that make sense. I’m very much against GMO-tainted foods because of the shortsightedness of such products and farming practices. Nature has a way of backhanding those who try to mess with food supply too much (famine, anyone?).

I agree, to a certain extent, with massive reform being needed in our public school system–making it work more like a free market than like a government monopoly, and turning the power of educating children back over to whom it belongs: the parents.

Also, it’s hard to tell which parts of the document are authentically “OWS” and which parts are sabotage, but having known several of the OWS types throughout my life, I’m erring on the side of truth being stranger than fiction.

Conservative Link Soup: Democrat Reality Check Bounces

A more stinging indictment is hard to find of the failure of the Democrats to produce meaningful and positive change in anything since they began to take power in 2007. The numbers tell the sad, sad tale of their good intentions gone awry.

Democrats vs. Reality: ObamaCare numbers are difficult for Democrats to distort

ObamaCare by the Numbers:

Jobs & Economy:
67,600: The number of private-sector jobs created each month before ObamaCare became law. Compare that to 6,500: the number of private-sector jobs created each month since ObamaCare became law. Astoundingly, private-sector job creation today is only 10% of what it was before the law went into effect.

800,000: The number of jobs that Douglas Holtz-Eakin, former Director of CBO, predicts will be lost due to ObamaCare. Yes, the Democrats’ “job-creating” health care initiative will actually lead to a deficit of 800,000 jobs.

$52 Billion: The new taxes that will be levied against small-business owners (job-creators) due to ObamaCare.

$500 Billion: The increase in the deficit due to ObamaCare.

1,400: The number of U.S. jobs that Boston Scientific will cut due to ObamaCare.

Medicaid Expansion:
80 Million: The total number of people who will be enrolled in Medicaid by the end of 2019.

Losing Health Insurance:
1,372: The number of “ObamaCare waivers” that the Health and Human Services department has issued in an attempt to mask the fact that ObamaCare would have led to hundreds of thousands of low-wage employees losing their health insurance.

22,000: The number of seniors in Massachusetts, Maine, and New Hampshire who have already lost their Medicare Advantage plans because of ObamaCare.

34: The number of states where it is now impossible to purchase a child-only health insurance policies due to ObamaCare’s new rules.

57%: The percentage of employers who, according to a recent study, are considering severely reducing health insurance plans for lower-wage workers.

Meanwhile, Hallmark has released a whole new line of greeting cards for the unemployed.

The requests for the new cards came due to the clear need of consumers.

‘They sent us letters. They phoned it in. They asked their retailers, you know, in their neighbourhood, ‘where do I find a card that said this?’ Mr McCracken said.

When there’s a market for making money off a dismal employment rate by selling sympathy cards, we’ve reached a whole new level of absurdity.

All of this calls for a moment of clarity that will hopefully help our next generation. For my part, I’m doing my best to raise my kids as critical thinkers, independent learners, statesmen, and entrepreneurs.

Clearly it is time to hold Obama’s party accountable.

Grassroots patriots also need to take the battle to the enablers. Publicly challenge and hold accountable the Obama corporate cronies funding the Obama campaign in return for taxpayer funded payoffs. Locally challenge and hold accountable the brain dead Obamanista supporters who so fundamentally misunderstand the roots of American prosperity that they would vote for a Marxist takeover that would mean the decline and fall of America.

Most fundamentally, blame the entire Democrat party for Obama and what he is doing to America. Don’t let your friends, neighbors and relatives fall for shysters claiming that they are different from Obama and the other Democrats. If they are different, let them run as independents or Republicans, and be part of the solution rather than part of the gravely threatening problem.
